Project Manager: State Accountability and Anti-Corruption

Job Description
A consortium of NGOs is seeking a full-time, experienced and energetic Project Manager based in Johannesburg for a project that is due to begin as soon as March 2024. The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination, implementation and completion of the project and related obligations while ensuring compliance with the strategy, commitments and outcomes of the project.
The key responsibilities of the project manager will be to:
Map project goals and deliverables and create a schedule and timeline for the project.
Manage and work together with the project team in the delivery of the project.
Plan and implement activities and/or direct implementation of activities related to the project.
Define tasks and the required resources within the project budget.
Manage the project budget together with relevant members of the project team.
Track the progress of the project with the aim to troubleshoot.
Liaise regularly with project stakeholders, allies and partners.
Manage logistics relevant to workshops, advocacy meetings and similar events around South Africa.
Compile regular clear and detailed reports on the project implantation and status.
Together with relevant project staff, evaluate and assess the result of the project.
Job Criteria
Proven experience as a project manager, with traceable references
Excellent written and communication skills
Problem-solving and time management skills
Relevant project management or planning qualification/s would be preferable
Proficiency in project management and related software and tools
Willingness to travel
Experience in the NGO and CBO sector would be an advantage
